On to Santa Fe, NM, June 2, 2006

Today was a day of travel from Holbrook, AZ to Santa Fe, NM. It was a lonely, desolate ride through the desert. It was two ribbons of asphalt that is I-40 and it paralled 2 railroad tracks. The scenery was beautiful mountains, volcanic ash etc for miles and miles then all of a sudden we ran smack into civilization called Albuquerque, NM. What a busy place over the mountain and into the valley. We made it through the traffic and headed north on I-25 to Santa Fe. Santa Fe is a little more relaxed than Albuquerque. Lots of adobe style houses in Santa Fe, more than we have noticed on the entire trip thus far.

Tomorrow we will check out Santa Fe and then hopefully meet with James "Jimmy" Porter's parents, Earl and Nancy for dinner.
